Welcome Wendy,

The easiest way to send e-mails to a group is to use Swiftpage (free account for less than 50 sends per day). You can design some fancy e-mails and reuse 'em. The paid version allows excellent call list of hot prospects as well as drip marketing.

If you want to try it download the plug in for ACT 2009. BTW it's built into ACT in the 2010 version.

Close ACT and install SwiftPage. Here's the link to the instructions:

Fire up ACT and notice the new orange icon with a big "E".

Create a SwiftPage account.

Set up a new SwiftPage template or adapt a pre-formatted template. You might spend some time perfecting your e-mail template. It's user friendly, but allow some time to position your graphics.

Once you have completed this step, the rest mostly takes place inside of ACT!

1. Naturally you will create a group and do a Lookup by Group. (verify you have email addresses for the contacts)
2. Click on the big "E" icon. Choose your SP template from the drop down selection.
3. Select the correct button "Send to current lookup" or choose the "Selected Group".
4. Send...

My best advise is to send yourself a test before you pull the trigger on sending to the group.

Let me know if you have any questions. Both Daniel and I are Certified Drip Marketing Specialists with SwiftPage.

And mark you calendar for our next LA ACT User Group Meeting on September 10th, noon at the world famous Magic Castle.

Best,
